AI Mufti ("we", "us", "our") operates the AI Mufti mobile application. This policy explains what data we collect, why we collect it, and how we protect it.

        Summary: We process your voice recordings only to assess your Quran pronunciation. We do not sell your data. Most data stays on your device.

2. Voice & Audio Data

When you use the pronunciation assessment feature, your microphone recording is:

Sent to our pronunciation assessment server for analysis
Sent to Google Gemini for AI coaching feedback
Deleted from your device immediately after assessment
Not stored, retained, or used for training by us or any third party

3. Third-Party Services

We use the following services to provide app functionality:

Google Firebase — Authentication, crash reporting, analytics
Google Gemini API — AI chat, pronunciation coaching, text-to-speech, translation
Supabase — Quran and Islamic content search
Quran.com — Quran text, translations, and recitation audio
Google ML Kit — On-device translation (language models downloaded to your device)

Each service processes data according to its own privacy policy. We only send the minimum data required for each feature to function.

Content Sources & Acknowledgments

We gratefully acknowledge the following sources for Islamic content used in the app:

englishtafsir.com — Tafheem al-Quran (The Meaning of the Quran) by Sayyid Abul Ala Maududi
Quran.com — Quran text, translations, tafsir commentaries, and recitation audio

4. Data We Do NOT Collect

Phone number
Contacts or photos
Browsing history
Advertising identifiers

5. Account & Authentication

You can use the app anonymously without creating an account. If you choose to sign in with Google or email, we store only your email address and display name via Firebase Authentication. You can delete your account at any time from the app settings.

6. Children's Privacy

AI Mufti is suitable for all ages. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 beyond what is described in this policy. If you are a parent and believe your child has provided personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.

7. Data Security

All network communication uses HTTPS encryption. Voice recordings are deleted immediately after processing. We do not maintain user databases beyond Firebase Authentication.

8. Your Rights

You can:

Use the app without signing in (anonymous mode)
Delete your account and all associated data from app settings
Clear local app data through your device settings
Request deletion of any data by contacting us

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance.
